1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Smart Indigenous Weather App (SIWA). By accessing or using SIWA, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. About SIWA

SIWA is a climate-smart weather forecasting application developed by the DIPPER Lab (Distributed IoT Platforms, Privacy, and Edge-Intelligence Research Lab). The app is designed primarily for farmers and integrates indigenous ecological knowledge with artificial intelligence to provide localized weather insights.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use SIWA. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

4. User Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and truthful information when registering
• Use the app only for lawful purposes
• Do not attempt to misuse, disrupt, or damage the app
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer or exploit the system

5. Weather Forecast Disclaimer

SIWA provides weather predictions generated using AI models and community-informed ecological indicators. While we strive for accuracy, weather forecasts are inherently uncertain and should be used as guidance only. SIWA does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any forecast.

Users are responsible for their own farming, safety, and operational decisions.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, models, text, graphics, logos, and software used in SIWA are the property of DIPPER Lab or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

7. Privacy

Your use of SIWA is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use personal information. By using the app, you consent to those practices.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to SIWA at any time if you violate these Terms or misuse the app. You may also stop using the app at any time.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DIPPER Lab and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of SIWA, including farming losses or decisions made based on app predictions.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
